4th of July Fun on Florida’s Forgotten Coast

Independence Day is less than a month away, and we’re gearing up for tons of fun on the Forgotten Coast! With an array of exciting events and fireworks shows, you’re certain to have a blast in Franklin County this 4th of July. So, grab your family and friends, pack up your finest red white and blue garb, and head on down to the Forgotten Coast.
The entire 4th of July weekend is packed full of festivities on the Forgotten Coast. We hope you’ll join us for one or all of the following Franklin County events:
Apalachicola’s Independence Eve Celebration:
Wednesday, July 3 at 5 pm
Join us for an exciting Independence Eve Celebration at Riverfront Park in Apalachicola. This family-friendly, patriotic event is an Apalach tradition. The celebration features live music, food trucks, a parade, free ice cream, a tribute to veterans and the best fireworks show on the Forgotten Coast. Come one, come all!
Whether you want to arrive by golf cart, bike or foot, everyone is welcome to attend. Don’t forget to bring along your four-legged friends decked out in patriotic costumes and attire. After the parade ends at Riverfront Park, fireworks are launched from a barge in the river, creating a spectacular display of lights over the water.
4th of July Freedom Fest on St. George Island:
Thursday, July 4
Celebrate Independence Day St. George Island style! Everyone is welcome to attend this annual July 4th celebration at Blue Parrot Oceanfront Café. Swing by for delicious fresh seafood, drinks from the tiki bar, music and great company. Stick around until after sunset to watch the stunning St. George Island fireworks show from the Blue Parrot decks.
Fireworks Extravaganza in Carrabelle:
Friday, July 5
Carrabelle will host its annual Fireworks Extravaganza on Friday, July 5 at “dark-thirty.” Set up shop at the Carrabelle Waterfront for breathtaking views of this fabulous fireworks show.
