There’s no reason you have to forego your yoga routine, spin class, or miss out on going to the gym while you are on this Forgotten Coast vacation. If you are looking for fitness classes on St. George Island, Apalachicola, Carrabelle, Alligator Point, or Eastpoint, you’ve come to the right place. There are several gyms and fitness facilities nearby that you can join for the day, week, or month for workouts and classes.

This facility in Apalachicola houses free weights, weight machines, cardio equipment, and so much more. You can purchase a daily, weekly, or monthly membership, and there are experienced personal trainers available to provide you with one-on-one service.

This new facility on St. George Island offers machines for working out on your own and classes including yoga, barre, and spin. Visitors can purchase daily access, one class, or a package of classes.

If you are looking to learn to paddleboard, take a yoga class on a paddleboard, beach yoga, private yoga, or try a paddleboard excursion or eco-tour, Island Fit Stand Up Paddleboard & Yoga is the place for you. Located on St. George Island, Island Fit will also rent paddleboards to those wanting to venture out on their own.
You won’t find any 24 gyms or large fitness centers here, and that’s probably how you want it when you are on vacation. We do, however, have quite a selection of local places for classes and working out.
Honestly, there are opportunities to exercise everywhere here. With abundant beautiful scenery and mild temperatures, there is no excuse not to get outside and bike, hike, run or walk on the beach. We have paved bicycle paths, pickleball courts, tennis courts, and basketball courts. Apalachicola and Carrabelle both have walking tours featuring historic sites.
Even though you are vacationing, sleeping a little later, and maybe indulging a little more, you should be able to get in both exercise and relaxation while visiting the Forgotten Coast.
