29th Annual Camp Gordon Johnston Day Parade

– Camp Gordon Johnston WWII Museum proudly announces the 30th Annual Camp Gordon Johnston Day Veterans Parade on Saturday, March 8, 2025 starting at 10:45 am ET in Carrabelle, FL. This special event is planned to honor and celebrate our country’s remaining WWII veterans as well as recognize and salute all veterans from WWII to present. All veterans, their family, friends and the general public are invited to come to Carrabelle to join in this meaningful celebration of our military veterans. The museum needs the community’s participation and support to make this year’s event more special than ever for our veterans.
The Camp Gordon Johnston Parade pays tribute to all veterans of all branches of service. This community parade will feature vintage museum vehicles like the WWII DUKW, Willis Jeep, and German Lieferwagen as well as restored military vehicles from the Military Vehicle Preservation Association and Florida Military Vehicle Heritage Group. In addition, the parade will be joined by several veteran organizations, motorcycle groups, Shriners clubs, many businesses and community organizations. Military and police vehicles, golf carts, classic cars, patriotic walkers, and even some patriotic pets will wind through downtown Carrabelle along US Hwy 98.
Camp Gordon Johnston Museum invites everyone to participate in the parade and there is no cost to be in the parade. Participants do not need any military affiliation to participate, just an appreciation for veterans and the military. Immediately following the parade will be the 6th Annual CGJ Dice Run as a much needed fundraiser for Camp Gordon Johnston Museum and American Legion Post 82. The Dice Run kicks off at Camp Gordon Johnston WWII Museum, 1873 Highway 98 West.
Camp Gordon Johnston WWII Museum will be open from 11 am to 5 pm. Guests are encouraged to come and learn the amazing stories of the region’s WWII heroes, see the remarkable artifacts. and hear about the vital role the Forgotten Coast played in WWII amphibious operations.
