
Country Market and Paint Party at Carrabelle’s Lighthouse

The Crooked River Lighthouse is hosting a Country Farmers Market and a Paint Party on Saturday, April 5 at Crooked River Lighthouse Park in Carrabelle. The Crooked River Lighthouse is located at 1975 Hwy 98 West, Carrabelle, FL.
The Country Market, held from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm ET at the foot of Carrabelle’s historic lighthouse, is the perfect opportunity to shop small and shop local for a variety of unique items while supporting local vendors, artists, bakers, artisans and crafters. The Market features an ever changing variety of locally sourced and handcrafted goods. Shoppers might find organic farm-fresh produce, mouth watering cinnamon rolls, artisan breads and other baked goods, grass-fed beef, handmade goods and craft items, assorted jellies, stunning art and decor, fresh eggs, batch-roasted coffee, locally handmade jewelry, handcrafted balms and sprays, unique t-shirts and clothing, and homemade hot sauces and salsa and plants.
At this special market, guests are invited to unleash their creativity at a fun and relaxing Paint Party from 12:30-3:30 PM with talented artist Geri Mueller-Savell. Participants will receive all necessary supplies, including a 16×20 or 11×14 canvas, apron, paint, and brushes. Geri will provide encouraging step-by-step guidance through a featured painting, ensuring that everyone has an enjoyable experience and leaves with their very own masterpiece. No prior experience is needed. The cost is $45 per person, and seating is limited. Advance reservations are required and can be made by calling 448-241-0086.
While at the lighthouse, guests can also explore the free Keeper’s House Museum and Gift Shop from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm ET. The Keeper’s House features fascinating maritime history, including the lighthouse’s original historic Fresnel lens. The Gift Shop is filled with handcrafted items and jewelry to one-of-a-kind nautical and coastal art, souvenirs and keepsakes. For an unforgettable experience, visitors can climb to the top of the lighthouse for a breathtaking panoramic view of St. George Sound for a small fee.
