At these beautiful white sand beaches, you can let your pooch run, dig, fetch and splash in the gentle waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Almost all of the beaches in Franklin County are pet-friendly and welcomes leashed and well-behaved pooches!
Apalachicola Dog Park
During your pet friendly vacation, be sure to check out Apalachicola Dog Park. This free, 2-acre fenced site is a super fun spot where dogs can run, play and fetch off-leash. Located on the corner of Avenue L and 12th Street in Apalachicola, this paw park includes separate areas for large dogs and small dogs. Both sections offer water, shade structures, safety gates and seating. The park is open to the public from dawn until dusk. Your pup is sure to make some new friends and have a barking good time!
